A Great Post from Vox Day

 https://voxday.blogspot.com/2021/04/hell-has-new-demon.html

Spanish language media reported last Sunday that radical pro-abortion supporter Maria de Valle Gonzalez Lopez died during what she labeled her “dream” abortion operation. She was 23 years old and was the leader of the Radical Youth in the La Paz municipality in the province of Mendoza. Her death has sparked a fierce debate about abortion in Argentina and led for calls for women to know that the procedure can sometimes carry serious risks.

On April 11, the woman underwent a legal abortion procedure in a local hospital. The operation turned out to be fatal for her. This fact came as a shock to the public as this was the first recorded death following the approval of the country's controversial pro-abortion bill passed on December 30, 2020, which legalized abortion in some cases. Previously, abortion was illegal in the predominately Catholic country.

Dr. Luis Durand, an Argentinian surgeon, told ACI Prensa journalists that “while some believe that the death of the young woman could’ve occurred due to some misconduct, in reality abortion is not a medical practice. Just a few months ago, it was a crime under Argentinian law. In the case of abortion, the death of the child is always brutal. It is burned through injecting substances into the uterus, or it is removed through dismemberment, or it is subjected to extreme uterus spasms which asphyxiate it.”

Durand added that an infection or sepsis may appear in women who take the drug Misoprostol when doctors fail to complete extract the child and his or her remains linger in the woman's uterus.

“This is why it is false premise to believe that such a procedure is truly safe,” he said.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, Pray For Us!

I have a triple Novena of Masses starting 12/4 and ending 12/12 which is the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the unborn. The intention is to shut down the abortion clinic on or before that day-never to be reopened or replaced anywhere in the world again. I am asking for prayers, fasting, abstinence and anything else you can offer in tandem with this intention.

New Pro-Life Sign

If the women don't want to take the information (or are blocked from preventing it)-they might be able to take down this number and obtain pro-life help.

Excuse the spelling error-the sign company will be sending a correction soon!

A Plea for Prayers and Abstinence

Dear Family and Friends in Christ,

I am asking, no I am begging for your help. My pro-life group (which consists of  just a few men and women) is desperately working, praying and fasting for the intention of shutting down an abortion clinic by the end of the year.
Abortion is an attack on the family and so we are begging families to commit to:
  • Abstaining from meat on Wednesdays and Fridays
  •  Going to Confession  at least once a month
  • To pray five decades of the Rosary (as a family) at least once a week

Please let me know if you can commit to this as we start the month of June, which is the month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

God is Good

Today is an amazing day. God answered our prayers this Saturday with 12 pro-life supporters at the abortion clinic! Additionally, a police officer at the clinic actually stopped this female harasser. I have never experienced this before and will be eternally grateful. If you can hear his name- please let me know because I wish to send him a card.

Diabolical

We are guessing this is urine which was placed near one of the pro-life counselors as he tried to save a baby's life from abortion. This is a symptom of something truly diabolical.

Response from UK Parliment concerning Alfie

My email:

People around the world are pleading for the UK to save a little boy's life. The parents want to take the child to Italy (and he is now a citizen) for care. Why is this being refused? Do none of us value life anymore? The child is being killed via dehydration and starvation. Are we all gods now and can choose to end anyone's life even when others want this person to live?

I am begging you to help this child. Please. This is a human being with a soul.

******
Notice how there is no mention that Italy would have cared for the child or the rights of the parents.

*****

We were all very sad to read in the news about Alfie’s passing on Friday night. This has been a tragic and challenging case for all those involved.
It may be helpful if I say something about the role of the GMC in giving guidance to doctors on ethics and professional standards, before outlining the guidance we give to doctors who are caring for children and young people.
The purpose of our guidance is to describe what good practice looks like, by setting out the professional values, knowledge, skills and behaviours expected of all doctors working in the UK. We do this in our core guidance Good medical practice and the explanatory guidance that can be found on our website here: http://www.gmc-uk.org/guidance/index.asp
We provide specific guidance on the treatment and care of children who do not have capacity to make their own decisions in our guidance 0-18 years guidance for all doctors. We also provide specific guidance on end of life care in Treatment and care towards the end of life.
A core principle in our guidance about the treatment and care of children and young people is that doctors must always act in the best interests of the child. In doing this, they must take into account:
  • The views of parents, and others close to the child or young person
  • Up to date, authoritative clinical evidence and relevant guidance on what may be appropriate treatment options
  • The views of healthcare professionals involved in providing care to the child, and any other professionals who have an interest in their welfare
  • Any other factors relevant to the circumstances of the individual child, including non-medical factors.
Identifying a child’s best interests is not always easy, and there may be conflicting views that are difficult to reconcile. In any situation where the clinical picture is complex and challenging, we know that it can be very difficult to judge when the burdens and risks of a particular treatment, including the degree of suffering that may be caused by treatment, will outweigh the potential benefits of the treatment to the patient.  Making these judgements can be particularly challenging where treatments are untested and the patient is a very young child with a life-threatening condition.
Our guidance therefore sets out the established legal and ethical framework that doctors should work within. Doctors should always try to work in partnership with parents to try to reach a shared view about the best course of action. Where there is significant disagreement, and this can’t be resolved between the medical team and family, then we say that it may be necessary to seek an independent review by the courts. Approaching the court should be seen as a constructive way of thoroughly exploring the issues and providing reassurance that the child’s interests have been properly considered in the decision.
Whilst we absolutely recognise how distressing this case is, it is not for the GMC to intervene or to comment on the specifics of it, beyond highlighting the guidance we provide to doctors on caring for children at the end of their lives. It is ultimately for the courts to make the decision about the best interests of the child in complex and challenging cases such as this.
Where doctors are following the principles of our guidance we would have no cause to take action.
Yours sincerely
Dr Colin Melville

The Murder of Alfie

LIVERPOOL, May 1, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – UK toddler Alfie Evans allegedly died within hours of receiving four different drugs from a nurse at Alder Hey hospital, Italian media is reporting. The information that Alfie was given four injections has also been obtained by LifeSiteNews from two different sources with connections to the Evans family.
Alfie Evans died in Liverpool’s Alder Hey children’s hospital on Saturday morning at 2:30 AM. According to Italian newspaper La Nuova Bussola Quotidiana, a nurse entered the child’s cubicle after his father Tom had been called aside and gave him four drugs. A source close to the family told LifeSiteNews that these were injections that were administered to Alfie after Tom had been summoned for an unusual middle-of-the-night meeting with the hospital. The child died two hours later.
It remains unclear why the alleged injections were given. The Evans family did not respond to LifeSiteNews’ request for comment.
Medical advisors to LifeSiteNews said they could not understand why the child would be given four separate drugs. One or two drugs could be explained as an attempt to sedate the child or administer painkillers, if he were in distress. Four, however, seemed to them mysterious. They recommend that an independent toxicology report be performed.
Alder Hey hospital doctors had previously conveyed to the Evans’ family in a legal document how they intended to use a drug cocktail that included Midazolam and Fentanyl as part of Alfie’s “end of life care plan.” Side effects of the drugs included respiratory depression. Tom Evans called it an “execution plan” for his son.
On the night of Monday, April 23, Alfie was suddenly removed from a ventilator and his life-supporting tubes. He had been on the ventilator for 15 months, and was unused to breathing on his own. He also had a lung infection, which would have required antibiotics to heal. Nevertheless, he managed to breathe independently, and continued to do so for more than 100 hours.
Tom Evans argued that the court order leading to Alfie’s extubation did not extend to depriving the child of oxygen and nutrition, and the child was permitted low levels of oxygen and, after 36 hours without nutrition, was fed.
La Nuova Bussola states that Alfie was given more life support in exchange for his father Tom’s promise not to speak any more to the press.
The day prior to Alfie’s death, Tom Evans read to the press outside the hospital what is now being called by many a “hostage letter.” In what appeared to be a forced statement, Tom read out a letter calling all the supporters of Alfie to go home and resume their lives. He thanked the hospital staff for their care of Alfie, even though just hours earlier he had attempted to have them charged with conspiracy to murder his son. He also praised the hospital staff for their dignity and professionalism, even though the day before he said they were treating his son worse than an animal and felt like he was in a jail.
“To silence the press, the hospital promised Thomas more oxygen and more life-support,” Frigerio continued. “Two hours before death, [Alfie’s] oxygen saturation was at around 98, and Alfie’s heartbeat was around 160, so Thomas was convinced that he would be allowed to go home (as the hospital administration had told him on Friday afternoon).”
However, it is alleged that the child’s health declined rapidly after a nurse gave him four injections.
“Before he died, while Tom was away for a moment, leaving Kate [Alfie’s mother] half-asleep and another family member in the room, a nurse entered and explained that she would give the child four drugs (no-one knows which) to treat him,” Frigerio wrote.
She continued: “After about 30 minutes the [oxygen] saturation had fallen to 15. After two hours Alfie was dead.”
The  Nuova Bussola reporter, who was material in setting up an appointment between Tom Evans and Pope Francis, observed that she could not be sure that Alfie’s life ended only because he was removed from life-support.

Toys R Us

A self-inflicted demise
But here's the ironic part. For years, Toys "R" Us donated to Planned Parenthood – just like Target and Starbucks and countless other well-heeled corporations. It's what socially conscious, left-leaning corporations do these days. But in Toys "R" Us' case, there's a perfectly reasonable case to be made that they were literally donating money to put themselves out of business.

40 Hours During 40 Days of Lent

During the 40 Days of Lent I have been tasked to gather up people to cover 40 hours of prayer outside of the abortion clinic. These are troubled times and not only do we need pro-life counselors, but we need prayer warriors more than ever!  If you can, consider creating a sign-up sheet at your parish and having people sign up until you meet or exceed 40 hours of prayer outside of the clinic. What a wonderful way to really sacrifice during Lent!
