I was on some kind of roll with deals at CVS and picked up this basket of goodies! I am foggy on exact numbers, but I think, after everything is said and done, I paid out $6.00-$8.00. What is not included are some sodas and beef jerky which are part of the $6.00-$8.00 total.

CVS TRIP
I think this may have been the best CVS trip ever. Now, if you actually follow my little blog, you will note that I am horrible when it comes to grocery shopping. For the life of me I can’t seem to keep my grocery budget under any kind of control. My husband and I impulse buy based on all sorts of random cravings. Heck…Thursday night we craved ice cream and by 11:00 P.M. we had ice cream with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. Did we use coupons? Nah….what fer???
It is a different story when I purchase non food items. I can usually work a deal and that is what occurred this Saturday.
I meandered to a new CVS which was colossal in size compared to the one I normally frequent. I was looking to make some ECB’s on the OUST deal (no dice) when I came across the end of an aisle with all sorts of goodies on sale. Coupled with the very friendly cashier telling me about certain make up products marked down by 75% and my handy dandy coupon organizer by my side; I was a happy woman.
The Make-up
L’oreal Colour Juice lip gloss 75% off = 2.12 **$8.49 retail**
L’oreal eye shadow 75% off = 1.25 **$4.99 retail**
Rimmel London Lasting Finish lipstick 75% off= 1.32 **$5.29 retail**
Rimmel London Spicey Nude blush 75% off = .87 **3.49 retail**
I had four coupons for $1.00 off on each product and my last 1.50 in ECB’s to bring my total down to $.06 and with tax it came out to $.37.
Total if I had paid the retail price on all of these: $22.26
Stay tuned for round two and an upload of the haul!

Products purchased:
Cottonelle Toilet Paper $5.99
Vaseline Infusion Lotion $7.99 (x's2)
Herbal Essence Hair Spray $2.99
Colgate Toothpaste $2.88
I also bought a soda-my bad!
Total Before Tax and Coupons: $29.33
I used one coupon for $1.00 off and one coupon for $.75 off. I used the ECB's earned from my previous purchases to pay the difference.
I saved just over 90% on this purchase.

CVS Deal
I have ECB's from last week for 9.99 and I decided that I think I can do the following scenario:
Purchase 3 packages of Carefree panty liners at $3.79 each = $11.37
Use two coupons for $1.00 each = -$2.00
Total will be : $9.37
Pick one filler and use the 9.99 in ECB's and earn 11.37 in ECB's
Then do the next transaction of purchasing Aveeno products
Purchase 4 Positively Ageless products at $7.00 each = $28.00
Used $5.00 off $25.00 = $23.00
Used 2 coupons for $5.00 off 2 (these were online coupons from Coupon.com from a while back) = -$10.00
= $13.00
ECB's = - 11.37
Total OOP BT = $1.63
ECB's earned from that transaction will be 10.00
***Update 8-24-2009 ***
I completed this deal and paid OOP After Tax a total of $ 2.14 for the following items:
3 Carefree Ultra Protection Pantyliners 16 count $3.79 each (this was transaction one)
I used two coupons for $1.00 off each plus the 9.99 ECB's from my previous week and earned the 11.37 mentioned above
I paid .14 After Tax
2 Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion 2.5 ounces at $ 3.49 each
1 Aveeno Positively Ageless daily cleansing pads at $ 8.99
1 Aveeno Positively Ageless daily exfoliating cleanser at $ 9.99
I used the $5/$25.00 coupon
1 Aveeno coupon off 2 Positively Ageless for $5.00 off
2 coupons for $2.00 off an Aveeno product
11.37 ECB's
I paid $2.00 After Tax and earned 10.00 in ECB's
So, essentially I have paid $8.99 BT for eight items which averages to $1.12 for each item. If I include pending ECB's, I am making money off the deals.

CVS deal?
I was looking at this week's coupons and I see $2.00 off the Olay Body Wash. I was thinking of getting two of those coupons and doing the following deal:
Olay Body Wash 2/12
coupons -4.00
ECB's from Coppertone -8.00
BT= o.00
What do you think? It's workable and I really like that body wash :-)
Also, there is a coupon for $.75 for Crest which can be doubled at Bi-Lo. Bi-Lo has Crest toothpaste on sale for 2/$4.00. This should give you a total of $.50 for each tube.

Wheelin' Wednesday: CVS
I am posting this deal again and then adding another deal. Why? Well, I earned ECB’s from this deal and want to show how they connect with the new purchases. I often see other blogs show ECB’s earned and then take it off from the final purchase price from the item, but my mind can’t seem to wrap itself around that. I need to see the average cost of each item using and not using the ECB’s. With that said, here is last week’s transaction and then this week’s transactions. I would really like to know if any of you think this is a good deal or if I am still not properly using my ECB’s-thanks!
