Yes, it is a new calendar year but we are already well into the liturgical year!
I do have a few goals which I will list year for prosterity's sake but who knows
what will come of it all in this unsettling times when democracy is stolen via
cheating and nobody notices the emperor wears no clothes....
Spritual
Continue with requirements as a Third Order Dominican.
I am working on an evening prayer set that will include a prayer for each of my patron saints.
These I am recording in my very special Sacred Heart leather bound book.
I am going to keep my Tan All
Saints' planner for prayer intention requests and to also possibly list a verse
found during spiritual reading.
I will continue keeping notes during sermons
given each Sunday by our priests.
I also truly want to step more and more away
from wasting time watching stupid shows and transferring that to more reading
time.
Meditation is also a good habit to enforce throughout the year. One thing
is that I think I have cutting myself short in this area and maybe you have to
so let's discuss. I was listing meditation as when I specifically sit down and
meditate after reading a spiritual work. However, when I thought about it- I
found that I was meditating at different times throughout the day. When walking
the dog, for instance, I would find myself looking at creation and thinking of
God or seeing a tree and remembering the Crucifixion of Our Lord.
House
Projects
Oh! Where to begin! We need so much done but I try to focus only on a
few projects at a time.
Repair the kitchen sink .
Add insulation for under the
house
Repair the brick stairs and foundation
Painting and repainting doors,
rooms, etc
Habits
Hubby and I need to get better at putting things away and
doing a nightly tidy. I am NOT good at this. Frankly, I haven't been feeling
great since July but this is a new year so hey! Like, right now, I have an
unmade bed. As soon as I am done with this blog post- I am going to tidy it up.
