It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our little fish, Aloysius. 

Aloysius Update

I don't know if you can see the bulge on the side of his body, but it is there and it is bigger since this picture was taken.

There isn't a cure for our little baby fish so we just make sure his water is clean and he is fed and loved.

Ummmmm.....

Within 24 hours of coming home- he made a bubble nest!

Don't worry! Aloysius is still King of the Roost!

We Have An Addition......

She has blue and purple on her fins.

Tiny and so young!

We would like you to meet Annabella! 

She is a new addition to our little family! 

We have her in a 2.5 gallon tank next to Aloysius' 5.5 gallon tank. She is tiny compared to him and seems to have acclimated well. We have a piece of paper between the tanks  which I am lowering bit by bit so they can slowly get used to each other.

Hubby chose her name as soon as we met her!

Friday's Favorites: A Happy Fish

Male Betta fish will build a bubble nest when they are happy and open to mating. The bubbles would actually hold fertilized eggs should he successfully mate. Pretty cool, eh?

Friday's Favorites: He is feeling better

After an entire month, our little fish is finally feeling better! 

He has started building bubble nests again-so exciting! I am still medicating his water, but in lower doses, but he seems really close to normal.
