SaturATED SATURDAY: What a Day!

Hubby and I woke up to a misty morning as we readied ourselves for the day. He drove me to the abortion clinic and then headed to the dealership for general maintenance.
I prayed at the abortion clinic and then held one of my signs just outside of the entrance to the clinic. All I can say is, "God Bless my mother". We had a hispanic couple drive into the clinic. They stopped and took the literature on hand and then parked the vehicle. We needed someone who could speak Spanish ( I am still learning) and my mama was the only one I could think of at that moment! With a quick dial on a cell phone, I woke my poor mother up (I am on the east cost and she is in Arizona) and, she, barely cognizant, jumped into action and spoke to the father of the baby. They didn't abort the baby! Pray for the mother, her name is Aida.

Hubby and I drove home and we set about doing a bit around the house (it was raining for most of the day). I baked a lemon cake, threw beans in my crock pot, cooked up bacon and eggs for Hubby and then headed to Mass.

After Mass, I picked up flowers for the altar, came home, made refried beans, taco meat, gave out candy, and arranged flowers -all at the same time! Whew! And people think I am not a super hero.....

What did you do today! Tell me! Tell me!

Tuesday’s Tip: Progress in Organization

After

Before

Hubby and I have organized our little foyer table (pictured above) and hope to keep it that way.

I went through all my coupons and organized a set to be used this week.

I organized the hall closet

I organized one bathroom cabinet

I cleaned out and organized my work bag and purse

My next project is to tackle our bills and statements that need to be filed away. We are looking to purchase a new filing cabinet to help with this project.

My question to you is this: How do you keep your billing and bank account statements filed and organized?

Musically Manic Monday: Organize I Say!

My more talented co director for choir and I have decided to get organized! Yes! That is right! We are tired of our dysfunctional ways! The new us is here to stay!!
I began my organization today with a clean out of the hall closet, my purse, and under my bathroom sink. Shelves were organized, items were thrown and harmony reigns (currently) in those areas. Will it last? My first inclination would be no, but we must be positive and move forward! We cannot be stagnant soldiers!

Music: Practice, practice, practice now until Christmas!

Work: No comment

Projects: Organize!

What's on your agenda this week?

Wheelin' WEDNESDAY: lovely gift

My in- laws blessed me with a lovely chair! I have placed it in what will eventually (God willing) become our Nursery. It is so very comfortable and I can see myself enjoying a Sunday afternoon wrapped up in a throw blanket with a good book!

TUesday's Tip: HELP?

Here is my mess.... It is a table we have in the foyer of our home. The purpose of this table is primarily for mail, but it has evolved into some sort of mutation. I don't even know why there are shoes on the bottom shelf. My husband and I are both to blame for this horrendous debacle, but what do we do about it? I have attempted a few organizing ideas, but we revert back to the old ways before they are even old!

Musically Manic Monday

CHURCH: If I am able to finish up my work at home, I will be heading to church early on Saturday to clean the bathrooms or whatever is in most dire need of cleansing.

The Feast of Christ the King will be celebrated at our parish with Mass, Benediction, Procession, and a dinner afterwards.

MUSIC: The ladies choir is scheduled to have a long Christmas music practice this upcoming Sunday.

WORK: I continue to the transition to the new division.

PROJECTS: I have made very little progress with my various projects. I am, however, determined to get this house in some kind of order. Also, barring anymore rain, I intend on painting the replaced banisters this week.

PLANS: My in-laws and one of my nieces will be stopping by for an overnight visit this week. This will be the first time this niece spends the night in our home! We are very blessed to now have two bedrooms for guests. The second bedroom is technically set up as a nursery which is the reason we have so little furniture in the room (picture posted above).

SPANISH: I think my little Spanish class at Church may be increasing for a total of three! Also, I found out that one of our parish members is teaching a class on Latin. What is a girl to do? I want to learn both languages, but I am stuck with the bookstore, choir, and Spanish. ARGH!

SPIRITUAL SUNDAY:

SPIRITUAL SUNDAY

20TH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST

Sunday was the Gregorian Chant concert held at a downtown church. Schola and choir members joined with their choir to sing key Gregorian chant pieces as well as various organists quite accomplished within their respective field. I must admit, the church was both beautiful and daunting for one who suffers from a bit of stage fright. I wasn't able to stay for the entire concert, but enjoyed the majority of the music.

SATURATED SATURDAY

I had the pleasure of attending a conference this past Saturday. "The Timeless Beauty of Gregorian Chant" by Jim DePiante was a conference and a sort of work shop for those not too familiar with this beautiful method of prayer.

In fact, I have posted a piece of the conference on You Tube here for you entertainment.

This was followed with a trip to the store for a few essentials and then home for a bit of time. Hubby has been ill so I whipped up a quick batch of soup (I had made my own broth the night before) to help soothe his aching throat.

I am not too sure what transpired after that... it seems like a blur, but I do know I didn't get all that much done around the house. As usual it looks as if a tornado ran through it!

Saturday Mass was at 5:30 p.m. that day and then I headed home to handle dinner for Hubby.

How was your Saturday?

APOLOGY

I know, I know... I haven't been posting much lately. I wanted to wait until I had a working camera and then I just couldn't think of an interesting picture to post. I mean, I have plenty to photograph, but these have been taken before on so many other websites. I also have not been running too many deals lately because we really haven't needed anything. I am stocked up on shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, laundry soap, hand soap, dish soap, toilet paper, and my makeup!

My food trips consist of mostly meat and vegetables which don't allow for too many coupon supplements.

So, I am sorry to my loyal readers that I have not posted much. I am about to change that today! You will see a plethora of posts and I hope to continue this on a regular basis.

Thanks!

WheELIN' WEDNESDAY: Freebies

I haven't been doing a lot of deal shopping lately, but I do try to sign up for free samples whenever I can. Today I received a sample from EOS and a sample from Murad. The EOS sample is an organic lip balm- isn't it cute?

Tuesday's Tip: Ten Pan Update

I continue to use my ten products and have not purchased new makeup. This is a bit tough, because I have some gift cards!!
Here are pictures of a blusher and a bronzer that have both "hit pan".

Just a quick note to say that I am back and with a camera!

Above is a picture of my Breakfast Nook with newly added Mexican tiles given to me by my sister.
