Boycott and letter to Johnson and Johnson
Who would have thought that banking with a certain financial
institution, shopping at a certain store or purchasing a certain product would
be a moral dilemma? Yet, here we are experiencing such a situation. 2% of the
population encompasses a homosexual lifestyle but it seems to be on everyone’s
agenda. You can’t turn on a television set and watch a program without it
containing a homosexual man or woman. If you believe that a man inserting his
penis into the rectum of another man is wrong-it is called hate speech but
those who make fun of Christians are applauded. Catholics and anyone who
follows Christ are being judged as abnormal and made fun of each and every day.
If love knows no boundaries then where
is the polygamist family in the commercial? What about those who practice
bestiality? If love knows no boundaries then why are you discriminating against
those people?
Society has degraded truth to something subjective instead
of being objective. If truth is no longer absolute then what is a person’s moral
compass? If there are no longer any boundaries then who is to say what is right
or wrong? Will the next commercial contain sodomy, bestiality, polygamy, sexual
slaves? Where and when does it stop?
Take down the commercial and focus on your products.
Take down the commercial and examine the source of your
convictions.
Take down the commercial and find truth.
*** I ask that each of you consider writing a letter to Johnson and Johnson as well as boycotting all of their products***

Friday's Favorites: Comfy Shoes
I picked these up at Kohl's and they actually surprised me with the comfort level. I guess these are made with memory foam and this helps me especially since I work at a standing desk.
I also like how these are wedge shoes which gives me a little height!

Ambrose learned something new!
We loved that Ambrose could enjoy the view from the porch but hated that he left the door wide open when returning. Problem solved.... we taught him to shut the door himself!
Abortion Clinic Adventures.
Today
I went to the abortion clinic and dealt with some crazy stuff. As usual, the
pro-choice guy insulted my Catholic faith, the Bible, my clothing, my weight
and my intelligence. I responded with the only logical question, “Do you like
my make-up?”
In the meantime, this guy drives in to drop his girlfriend off and
as he is driving out of the clinic he stops to talk with me. So, we are
talking about choosing life when Mr. Pro-choice comes up behind me and tells the
guy to drive across the street if he wants to talk to me. We ignore him and our
conversation continues when all of a sudden the guy reverses his vehicle back
into the abortion clinic parking lot, gets out of the car and walks over to Mr.
Pro-choice. He starts cussing Mr. Pro-choice out and demands to see some
pictures on his cell phone (I guess Mr. Pro-choice was snapping pictures during
all of this). The guy gets back into his
car and continues talking with me. Of course, Mr. Pro-choice comes back over to
tell this guy to move and the car goes back into park. He gets out of the car
and starts yelling at him…. Language, threats, and some kind of beat down was
conveyed. The guy gets back into his car and I offer to go across the street.
“We are fine sitting right here!” he says to me and we finish the conversation.
Dude, this was some crazy stuff. I was so scared and was thinking I might have
to get in between these guys if a fight ensued. Thank God it didn’t and thank
God the guy was not mean to me at all. It was like a light switch going on and
off depending on who he was talking to and I was just blown away. And, yes, I did ask Mr. Pro-choice if he was
okay and told him I was really scared. The funny thing was that Mr. Pro-choice constantly tells me that I harass people buying offering an alternative to abortion. This guy in the car yelled at him for harassment. Funny.
After all of that-there were two baby saves and a possible third. Keep praying, keep praying.
N.B. The story is a little hard to follow- maybe Hubby can re-tell it for me.

Budget Updates
Just a heads up that my budget continues to move forward full steam ahead! I might not be as intense as some people but I am making a conscious effort to not be so frivolous in purchases.
We do have a set date on when I think we will be debt free, but I am going to try and push it even more.
I would love to know how my siblings handle their finances right now. This subject intrigues me to no end in a kind of sick and distorted way. I just pray Excel spreadsheets are involved!

Updates.....
I am sorry I haven't been posting that often lately. I will try to give an update within this post.
Hubby and I have been ill with all sorts of weird stuff. I was dealing with the poison ivy and then both of us were hit with a nasty chest infection. For me, it produced a cough which then triggered my oh so sensitive gag reflex. The gag reflex triggered vomiting which caused my nose to bleed. The only bright light was how calmly Hubby helped me through this mess. I guess having the experience of cancer, chemotherapy and radiation makes you immune to some really funky stuff.
Hubby's illness has been ongoing as well with less cough and more sore throat. We have both been dealing with this for over a month and that can just mess with your head.
We are still looking into quotes for an entire deck remodel. We have dabbled with the thought of a screened in porch but the price for that would equal a kitchen remodel! I am inclined to go with an all composite deck which is low maintenance and wonderful for non-handy people like me.
I recently applied and was offered another position within my current company. This will be a step above my current pay grade and putting me in a more ideal/career situation. I am very excited about this opportunity and should make the transition sometime in late summer/early fall.
Anselm and Annabella are doing well and want to mate. I haven't decided if I want to take on that adventure yet!
Ambrose is very yummy (as usual)! I have started to train him on closing the door when he comes in from outside.
The budget has been great! We are really working on getting the mortgage paid off as soon as possible. I believe this will open up new opportunities and allow us to make a final decision about where we would like to live permanently without the stress of two mortgages.
This summer I am going to really try and utilize my time more. St. Francis De Sales said that you should only have leisure when you absolutely need it and I have made it more of a staple in my daily routine.
I am actively reading three books at once in addition to Hubby and I working on reading the entire Bible. We are reading a chapter a night so this will be a long process but well worth it in our spiritual lives.
I think that is it for now.

MOVIE REVIEW: RAGNAROK
Ragnarok 2013
If
you have Netflix and your children don’t mind subtitles-this might be the movie
for you!
Summary :
Norwegian archaeologist Sigurd Svendsen is single parent raising his daughter and son after his wife passes away from cancer (about five years ago in the storyline). He and his wife were involved with the Norse mythology and now he carries on in an obsessive way to keep the connection with his wife. Unfortunately, this causes him to be rather absentminded with the rearing of the children.
The children’s summer
holiday becomes an archeological adventure to discover the real meaning
behind the mysterious secret runes.
Most
adults will be able to figure out the plot and ending quite quickly but I think
this is a good movie for younger children who enjoy action, being a little
scared, and experiencing the storytelling of another culture.
Adults
will enjoy the beautiful scenery of Finnmark, the minimal violence, no foul
language, and nothing sexual.
