Musically Manic Monday
CHURCH: The Pope has called all Catholics to partake in a prayer vigil to end abortion on November 27th. Our parish will be partaking in an Hour of Reparation- check with your parish. You may also want to start some kind of prayer vigil in front of an abortion clinic as well.
HOME: Prepping our home for the WHOLE30 challenge

TASTEFUL TUESDAYS: PORK TENDERLOIN
I am not the most creative person in general and so cooking tends to be pretty boring. This past weekend, though, Hubby and I watched a television show with pork tenderloin as the subject. It was an easy dish and I thought I would take a stab at the recipe.
All I needed was the tenderloin and a few strips of bacon. I then seared it on the stove and then stuck it right into the oven- pan and all!
Hubby liked it and now I have a new meal to my rotating meals!

Saturated Saturday:
This Saturday I visited the abortion clinic for a 90 minute prayer vigil. Once again the pro abortion people were out there video recording us and holding signs that really don't make sense ( " Freedom is Choice" and "I love this clinic"). It is a sad situation altogether.
I then headed to my voice lesson where I came into a nice surprise. Well, this past week I recorded myself singing a version of the Ave Maria for my vocal teacher to critique. He let me know that he forwarded it onto the owner of the company and they both agreed on two things: I am still holding back and I should be singing opera. I was very surprised to say the least! I never thought my voice would suit opera, but I guess I am wrong! What a push into a new genre of music!
Back home, I was able to make lunch for Hubby and do a little clean up before I made my way to the cemetery. As you know, this is the week to pray for the dead and gain a plenary indulgence. I stopped by the cemetery at Saint Joseph's church which was built in 1845, prayed, and then made my way to church for Confession and Mass. Father also was having Rosary and meditation for the Five First Saturdays in front of the Blessed Sacrament, but I couldn't stay. I really love this new priest and his implementation of more masses during the week as well as an increase in devotions.
Hubby and I ended the evening with a symphony concert and a great trumpet concerto!

ALL SOULS DAY: NOVEMBER 2ND
INDULGENCES
FOR THE POOR SOULS
from November 1-8
The current ecclesiastical regulations in force are as follows:
On All Souls’ Day (Nov. 2) a plenary indulgence, applicable only to the Poor Souls, is granted to those who visit any parish church or public oratory and there recite one Our Father and one Credo.
On all the days from November 1 though November 8 inclusive, a plenary indulgence applicable only to the poor souls is granted to those who visit a cemetery and pray (even if only mentally) for the departed.
Conditions for both indulgences:
Only one plenary indulgence can be granted per day.
It is necessary to be in the state of grace, at least by completion of the work.
Freedom from attachment to sin, even venial sin, is necessary; otherwise the indulgence is only partial. By this is meant attachment to a particular sin, not sin in general.
Holy Communion must be received each time the indulgence is sought.
Prayers must he recited for the intentions of the Holy Father on each day the indulgence is sought. No particular prayers are prescribed. One Our Father and one Hail Mary suffice, or other suitable prayers.
A sacramental concession must he made within a week of completion of the prescribed work. One confession made during the week, made with the intention of gaining all the indulgences, suffices.
