They Are Still Alive.....(and ready to have babies)

I don't post too many pictures of these beautiful water creatures, but there have been complaints......

Annabella is pretty hot with her black and blue scales.

Anselm is too good looking for his own reflection! Just look at those fins!

Wheelin' Wednesday: Eshatki (custom of less)

So, a friend of mine introduced me to Eshatki which is a website for women's clothing. What makes this unique is your ability to customize the clothing. Above is a dress I ordered which normally comes sleeveless, but I was able to add sleeves.  You can choose different variations of sleeves and many of the dresses allow you to choose the length (custom or just based on your height). You can also pick from a size chart or submit your actual measurements. My friend did that and was amazed at how well her dresses fit.

For my first order- I purchased two dresses and with shipping, customization, and a coupon- the total was $71.00.

One Year Old!

This is what he does when I go downstairs... he watches me through the rails.

One day before his birthday, little Ambrose finally went on a walk with his harness and leash! Since then, we have walked five days in a row! I am so excited that he is finally doing this!

Surveys and Free Stuff

My sister called me asking about online surveys that pay money. I haven't done just surveys in a while but here is some information that might get the ball rolling for you:

Bestmark is for mystery shopping. This can also include simple things like sending an email to a dealership and taking note of how they respond to you. that particular shop paid $4.00 which is pretty good for a simple email.
Here is a link to Bestmark application:

Influenster ships boxes of free products with the intention that you write up online surveys through different social media outlets. I have been signed up with this one for about two years and you have seen my post about some of the products sent to em.

Here is the link to influenster:

Money Saving Mom's blog posted a list of a few legitimate companies for online surveys.

Finally, I signed up for Ebates which allows you to earn cash back almost every time  you shop!

DISCRIMANATION AND IRONY

This week there was a bridal shower at work for a fellow co-worker.  The co-worker has been living with the man for 12 years and will be married by the government. Prior to all of this going down she had relayed to me that the man she lived with was baptized and raised Catholic up until his father passed away (which occurred when he was an adult). After that, he fell away from his faith. I also understood that he was married before but it wasn’t clarified to me whether it was by law or in the Catholic Church (I am leaning towards the former).  So, do I dismiss Christ raising marriage to a sacrament and attend or back away from the event?

As you can see from the scenario presented above- I can’t attend the shower. I discussed with another Catholic co-worker who couldn’t seem to take courage and not attend even though she could see the implications. I told one other co-worker who is not Catholic and was very surprised at the negative reaction. She went on and on about “religion and rules” and threw out some nasty remarks when I also refused to sign the card.

Now, do you want to know the irony? We have a co-worker who is Jehovah Witness and does not participate in any celebrations throughout the year. Do you think he has ever received one negative comment? Nope- not one! In fact, accommodations have been made to change the Christmas party to “holiday” and birthday celebrations to “random pot luck”.
