Rusk Freezing Spray

Can I just say wow?  This hairspray is the first that keeps my style during some of those nasty humid days. I will definitely purchase this product even at the high price of $17.99 plus!

Have you discovered a great hairspray product?

Aloysius Update

I don't know if you can see the bulge on the side of his body, but it is there and it is bigger since this picture was taken.

There isn't a cure for our little baby fish so we just make sure his water is clean and he is fed and loved.

A Little Warmth

Hubby and I picked up a couple of these little heaters to bring a little warmth into the room without turning on the heater throughout the house.
If you think about it- we will never occupy more than two rooms in the house at any one time. Instead of cranking the heat upstairs and downstairs- we just turn on our little space heater.  Once you close the door- the room stays nice and cozy cozy.

That's my story.

Chit Chat (and a lot of complaints)

Hey People,

I know there hasn't been too many blog posts lately.I have been experiencing a number of migraine headaches and weird random bouts of sickness which has delayed my projects which probably is another reason my posts are far and few.
I continue to go out to the abortion clinic, but not as often as last year. I wish I had someone to go with me and I also wish I could have a month of no headaches.
Our fish, Aloysius, appears to have a cyst or tumor which may be fatal. I have been giving him medication and continue to change his water regularly, but nothing has helped. I have never met a fish with so much personality so we just keep hoping our little fish gets better. He is still active so that is a good sign.
Work has me stressed out and I really need a vacation. The customers I have been working with have been very argumentative. I also have come to the conclusion that people do not read through instructions that are given to them. I am working with this one customer who has been told at least 6 times the same set of instructions and he still can't complete the task. We are also going through system conversions and management expects those testing out the system to  cover their normal work duties. On top of that, my work partner is on vacation for half the month so I am covering three sets of duties... yikes!
I can't remember if I posted about this, but the contractor we thought would handle our huge kitchen/dining room remodel decided to liquidate his business because of a good opportunity with another company. I am kind of in shock and don't know if I can face looking for another contractor that I am comfortable with based on my previous experience. This was the same contractor who was going to handle our deck and so now that is stalled. I do need to find someone to replace our windows- they are not energy efficient.
We continue to look for a  new home in our ideal area, but prices have really jumped and so many of the homes are very outdated. Knowing the headache of a remodel makes me not want to venture into that arena.
My work schedule has recently changed and now I get off at 4pm on Fridays. I have decided to drive straight from work to our chapel on First Fridays. This allows me to do some cleaning for about an hour or so before Mass begins. If you know me, then you know that I am diving into more obscure duties that are rarely (if ever) completed. I am working on a combination project of hand washing and polishing the wood floor and pews in the chapel.  Since I am only working on this once a month, it will probably take me  six months to complete unless I jump in a couple of times in between. The key is to get in there when nobody is about.
That's it for now!

Don't Sit!

Just a snippet of a article talking about the benefits of standing versus sitting.  I am wondering if I will see some kind of weight loss in the future. I have noticed that my back doesn't hurt so much which may mean my muscles are strengthening.

"Standing allows your body to adjust and move easily flexing your muscles continuously. It also keeps your blood circulating well. All this keeps your blood sugar better regulated and keeps your blood pressure lower. And it lets you live longer."
