A friend of mine has a husband who works for 3M and can purchase various items throughout the year at quite a discounted amount. My friend knows I clean my chapel multiple times a month and offered to order items for me. Below is a picture (Ambrose is photo bombing-sorry) of my goodies! The dust mop alone was sold to me at a reduction of 73% of retail!

Sometimes a Deal Isn't

I picked up this hairspray at a low price, but I should have kept my money. This hairspray just doesn't do anything for my hair. Have you ever used this product?

Poinsettias

Hubby and I purchased the poinsettias for reduced cost at Lowe's. The larger poinsettias were $3.00 and the smaller were $.62. There were other sizes in between these two prices and most of the poinsettias were in good health.

If you decorate just before Christmas or need additional decorations for Church- you may want to check our your local Lowe's.

FRIDAY'S FREEBIES: SAMPLE IN THE MAIL

A woman I work with let me know about a free parking area that is even closer to my place of work. The catch is that you need to be in the parking before 6:30 A.M., but that isn't a problem with the mandatory overtime I am working right now.

PARABEN FREE EYE SHADOW

I have to admit that I do like make up.... maybe a little obsessed, but I try not to spend too much money...ahem..

I wanted this eye shadow palette that contained 88 different colours for just over $18.00! What a deal!

BUT

The shadows are loaded with parabens and Hubby is not keen on that. Why in the world would I sabotage our organic movement with this junk? He said no, and I agreed. We both know he was right (dang).

This morning I was looking on the Origins website, but must admit that their products are very expensive. One shadow is $14.00 and I really can't bring myself to spend that much money on one product that I won't even use every day. I meandered to EVERYDAYMINERALS.COM and came across a good deal. The company is selling 25 eye shadows (sample size) for $29.00 and, that, my friends, isn't bad! The sample size normally cost $2.50 and that size is more than enough for an eye shadow.

The colours are just gorgeous and they are all paraben free so I think I am on a good road! Wonderful Gift

I work with a great gal who happens to be vegan. We are definitely opposites, but for whatever reason-get along well! Because of her vegan beliefs she will not eat any meat or any products that come from animals which brings us to a gift. Miss Vegan gave me a purse and wallet because of the leather material. I absolutely adore the gifts-so pretty and so very sweet of her!

FRIDAY'S FREEBIES: SAMPLE IN THE MAIL

I received my full size FREE sample from Aveeno. This is a thin lotion that is great for those who don't need as much moisture as others. I will use this on my neck and face and then I apply my own homemade lotion on the rest of my body.

This has a lovely and soft scent.

ALL YOU! magazine had a great coupon for certain Rimmel products. It was for a free product up to a $5.00 value. I picked up one of their mascaras and if definitely extends your lashes!

I received a sample size of the Olay body wash and I really like this product. This is one of the few body washes where the scent lingers on your skin after your shower.

Lastly, I picked up the CVS coupon at the store scanner for $1.00 off their hair care products. The shampoo was $.99 so it was free!

WHEELIN’ WEDNESDAY AND SOME FUN

I stopped at my local Target last night and found the craft paint tubes on sale for $.48! I picked up six of them even though I don’t have children of my own. I am thinking of taking these when I fly out to Arizona, but it might not be such a good idea. However, I know many families here with young, homeschooling children who would love this kind of craft fun!
In an attempt to find a picture of the product- I came across the Crayola website that offers free coloring pages among lots of fun.
