Thoughtul Thursday: Solving a Problem

I think I have written (complained) about my dislike for menu planning which, of course, leads to mass confusion when making dinner or packing lunches.
Well, I think I have solved a problem with the utilization of my love for waking up early.

Silly me! I end up at work early EVERY day. Yes, there are days I can leave a bit early, but most of the time- not so much. Well, on a whim, I tried going back to making/cooking my husband's breakfast and lunch before I left for work. What did I did I discover? I discovered that the extra 20 minutes I give myself every morning was the right amount of time to really cook up a simple breakfast and lunch. No rush as I packed his lunch bag AND I was able to pack a bit for myself- which saves us money.

Keep your fingers crossed that I keep this up!

Thoughtul Thursday: Prayer vigil

This past Saturday our parish priest led the faithful through a prayer vigil outside one of the abortion clinics. We prayed for two and a half hours while the clinic's manager called the police on our priest (and the police responded within one minute). They video recorded us. They took pictures of us and then they demoralized the Catholic faith while wondering when we would leave and why we were so many.
These PRO CHOICE women could only unite under the guise of pure maliciousness and vulgar common talk. It was appalling and very sad and the response from the faithful Catholics was to simply pray harder for them. These souls are lost to God and to themselves. Their actions proved how shallow AND closed minded they are and the perfect example of a God-less society.

After our vigil- I did "scold" (as they put it) them for such disrespect and reminded them that not one of the people who were there that day harassed, name called, or attacked them in anyway. I asked for respect from them, but we know that such a thing is impossible from a group of women who do not love themselves and couldn't possibly realize the love of God.

Pray for them and pray for the end of abortion.

Travel Bag Tuesday: Cigar Anyone?

Don't get excited, but this is a double TRAVEL BAG TUESDAY!!!!

Do you still have YOUR cigar purse from Grandma? Do you use? I used mine on Sunday with a navy blue outfit for Mass.

I changed our Mass bag for something more compact. This is my L.L. BEAN handbag which just fits all our missals, prayer books, and all other "essentials". I find that our other bag was just a bit too big and the books were becoming a bit worn. This bag is fabulous and I am quite excited to use this baby!

Manic Monday: Getting Back Into A Routine

Church: Our book orders have been a little insane! We have an order for 20 Saint Andrew Missals that should arrive in late April.

Home: I am not as behind as one would think.....

Work: We are busy, but I continue to enjoy my job.

Garden: The garlic is going crazy (see pics on the other blog) and we have new veggies going in this week!

Projects: Clean the air conditioner... plant more grass..... um...other stuff.
