Dan Burke chose to simplify the writings of Saint Alphonsus De Ligouri and it actually proves helpful. The simplicity of this is key even though one who has practiced their faith regularly might think otherwise. I was basically going to be a snob and pridefully assumed I was higher than this. Boy was I wrong! We forget how many of us barely climb the prayer ladder as outlines by the great saints of Saint Catherine of Siena or Saint Theresa of Avila/Saint John of the Cross.
This is a good read for any Catholic.
