College students eat baby cookies to celebrate abortion

Nobody is pro-abortion.”
You hear that line from abortion advocates a lot, and it makes sense. After all, abortion is always a serious, somber decision that is never taken lightly…
or it’s something to laugh about at a bake sale.
That image was on pro-life activist Matt Walsh’s Facebook page recently. He explained…

A reader named Carly posted this picture to my page yesterday. This is a pro-abortion display put together by the campus atheist club last week at the University of North Georgia. Yes, those are cookies in the shape of babies. Carly tells me the pro-abortion folks were eating the baby cookies or breaking the heads off and laughing. Another picture she shared shows a cookie lying next to its severed head over top a sign reading “Abortion should remain legal because it’s constitutionally protected.”

Thoughtful Thursday: A Lesson Within A Twisted Story

Just thought I would show you some pictures of our flowers blooming.

Even if it doesn't quite fit the story.....

So.... I am going to tell you a really wacked out story but there is a total moral to the story, I think.....

Here goes.....

It was Monday night and I had just come in from taking Ambrose out for an evening walk. We were both sweaty and in need of a shower. I waited for husband to finish using the Master bathroom and then I gathered all my things and started my "shower ritual".

I am a private person when it comes to showers and such and so I normally lock the door, but I guess my hands were too full and  did not complete the locking of the door.
Ambrose was with me- just hanging around like he usually does and I had started the shower to warm the water. As it heated, I removed my clothing, brushed my teeth and used the bathroom before entering the shower.

There I was in all my naked glory, sitting on the toilet and all of a sudden....Hubby opens the door!

Me: "Get out!"

Hubby: Silence....

Me: " I am using the bathroom- get out! I am completely naked and on the toilet!"

Hubby: Silence... but now he is pointing at the shower and then looking at me... the dog is confused.

Me: At this point I had really lost it and had screamed at the top of my lungs, "GET OUT ! F**C*!"  I added the bad word for emphasis.

He finally left and I was mortified and afraid to even shower..... I put towels all around to block his view should he come in again.

When I came out of the shower- there was an exchange but he did not give me an explanation as to why he would infringe on my privacy (and bodily functions).

Needless to say- I was mad, humiliated, and felt betrayed...... I cried and slept on it.

In the morning I went for a walk and as I was walking I told Our Lady that I would lay this all at her feet.... and you know what happened? This horribly choleric gal couldn't be upset anymore.... there was no anger... there was nothing....and then it became funny and funnier as we finally talked about "the event".

So, that evening we talked.

Me: "Why did you come into the bathroom?"

Hubby: "My stomach was upset and I needed to use the bathroom."

Me: "There are two other toilets in the house."

Hubby: "Yeah, but that's my toilet in the master bathroom.... I can only use that one."

Me: " You know I don't like you coming into the bathroom while I am using it."

Hubby: "  I was just going to see if I could use the bathroom before you started and the door was unlocked so I came in. I didn't know I would see all that."

Me: " The door might have not been locked but you still came in and why didn't you say anything?"

Hubby: " I was in shock... I came in and the shower was going and you were naked and sitting on the toilet and the dog is looking at you and... it was shocking... I didn't know what to say and I just froze."

Can you find the moral?

Wheelin' Wednesday: Bring Coupons Back

Well, I have been trying to get myself back on the band wagon for deals and today I actually did it.
I picked up two bottles of shampoo which were on sale for 2/$6.00. I had two coupons for $2.00 off each and the supermarket doubled the coupon so I only paid the taxes of $.29!

How do you like them apples?

2016: All for the Love of Mothers by Lisbeth Burger

My sister told me she did not care for this book but I still dove in with an objective mind.

The memoirs of a Catholic midwife contains a new story and a moral with every chapter.
Most of the chapters are sad or shocking because you are seeing  people at the most primal level especially when lust was the reason for the conception of the child.
The midwife talks about men who do not care for their wives and then moves to another story about loose morals and parents not caring for their children but allowing occasions of sins to be all around. In one case the parents provided contraceptives to their daughter which was an open invitation to sin and a pregnancy!
The story that kept me up at night was about a woman who had a botched abortion. The midwife was called to help since the doctor was not in town. As the woman laid in the bed with a fever- she began to say the most shocking things... counting over and over to 13 and stating they had come back to her because she had taken eternal life from them. The midwife came to the realization that the women had aborted 13 children and now she was seeing them before her eyes as she slowly died from this last abortion!
There are morals for priests, women, children and men- all young and old and I strongly recommend this anyone over the age of 18.

Make-up Is My Whore....

I know it is shocking to all who read this but from April 1st through December 31st I will not be purchasing any make-up products for myself.

I am choosing to do this as a sacrifice for a special intention but also to help with temperance.

What I may do is post showing the items I have completely used over the next nine months.... let me know what you think.

I Have An Annoucement.....

Today is the first time I have finished every single task on the weekly List of 32. in I am pretty excited right now and I still have an afternoon to do other stuff-can we say bonus?

I mean.... I did it all. I tackled all the errands, cleaned, painted, and practiced.  Yes, I can still see my house is a mess, but it is less of a mess than before the list!

Recipe Project 2016 # 4: French

I enjoy Food Wishes and frequent the blog and YouTube videos for the chef's fantastic recipes.
Easter Sunday was very quiet due to Hubby's surgery and having to stay home as he recovered. It was just going to be the two of us so I opted to purchase ham and then found this easy recipe for French rolls.

I enjoyed reading a short history of French bread here.

Mine don't look as smooth and round as the chef's....

It came out a bit hard...

But it was still delicious!
