Influentster Box: Second Box

This is the second box I have received from Influenster.

The box contained the following goodies:

Vaseline Spray and Go Moisturizer Cocoa Radiant: I love the scent! I enjoyed using this product on my legs as a quick way to moisturize my legs when I am on the go. But, better yet, this is a great product for my husband. He hates lotion and yet I was able to spray this on his arms and back to help with those dry skin patches!

Shell Fuel Rewards Network Card: Excited to try this!

Pure Ice Nail Polish: I love to use the glitter polish for people like me who are kind of lazy with maintaining nail polish.

Cetephil Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloths: Very gentle formula to help remove make-up. I can't say this is better or worse than other products I have used, but I will definitely finish the product.

NYC New York Color City Proof Twistable Intense Lip Color: I love these products! I have Tarte's version of this product, but this is the more affordable version of the same product.

Montagne Jeunesse Clay Spas Mask: A great mask to use for people who don't indulge too often in things like this.

Rosary Warfare

 Rosary Warfare

This book engages the soul in the combat for Eternal Salvation through five different ways of meditating on the Mysteries of the Rosary (includes pictures as well). This is a sequel to Christian Warfare and a wonderful addition to the family home.

Light Changes

I am not sure why I didn't take a better picture of this 80's brassy chandelier mess, but I didn't.

Today, we replaced it with a new light fixture.... course, there was a crack in the dome, but it still looks better than before!

Things My Husband Says

Husband: "Pulled a Hunie and spilled coffee all over the counter as I was leaving."

Me: "Um, no, that was a Hubby move."

Husband: "Lack of dexterity with everyday objects usually leading to said objects being broken, spilled, destroyed. This is known as the Hunie Butterfinger rule."

Vacations

Hubby and I were thinking of taking a trip somewhere, but should we do that with so much work to get done at home? I mean, we have a huge painting project and the yard continues to be a mess....
Going on an airplane is such an privacy invasive ordeal now... ughers.
Maybe we should have one overnight trip and then just work around the house for the rest of the time off. Any ideas?

Some Kind of Recipe Part 3

Add the cooled filling

Yes, my crust edging is imperfect... just poke holes and brush with egg
375 degrees for about 40 minutes
Lopsided but yummy.

Want a bite?

Some Kind of Recipe Part Two

Make sure the water and butter is cold!
The basic recipe was 11/4 cup of flour
1/4 tsp of salt
1/4 cup of water
4 ounces of butter
This created only the top or the bottom.
I opted to double the flour, but keep the butter ratio the same for two bottom crusts.
The top crusts had the full butter!

Put the dough in the fridge to cool

I set the oven at 375 degrees and pre-bake the base on my pot pie for about 8 minutes.

Some Kind of Recipe Part 1

Here is a kind of wacky  posts on the pot pie recipe.
Seasoning used: salt, pepper, tumeric, paprika, and ground savory
All vegetables were cooked in butter
I used two pans to cook the meat and veggies

I used red potatoes cut very small.

In a separate pan, I cooked the chicken through and then added carrots, onions, and celery

Once these were cooked down, I added green onions-these were the only two items cooked in this pan

I added stock

and heavy whipping cream
two chicken gravy packets

Once this was cooled, I threw in corn and peas
