The Day The Music Died....

Work: Hectic and not too enjoyable. I have converted my desk to a standing desk. I have heard this is better for your health.

Church: Rosary procession this Saturday. It is 3 hours long so I can't partake in due to my issue with being out in the sun too long.  I do plan on cleaning the pews after First Friday Mass.
Home: Hubby has been diligently working on the "Caveman" room. I am proud of him and it is starting to come together.
Budget: My paper pile is diminishing and Hubby has been banned from some crazy spending.
Pro -Life: I covered last week, but First Saturday Mass will take precedence this week.  The pro-death guy who is out there recording us is really become belligerent and just plain nasty. I think he is showing his true colours and petty ways.
Dinner Making: Pretty regular this week- we do have guests one day this week.

Health: Standing desk, pulled out my Stairmaster to utilize this week and I want to walk during lunch a couple of times this week.

Music: Unfortunately, I bowed out of this choral season. More secular music has been chosen over sacred and one piece seemed to lean towards an ambiguous or pagan like theme. This, coupled with increased dues and the requirement to purchase a new performance gown left me feeling like I was spending money AND compromising the true faith.

Yard: I will work on some shrubbery shaping on Saturday. I also really need to get out there and finish painting my porch. We had hoped to build a new deck, but you know the story on that.

What's going on in your world?

Things My Husband Says.....

Conversation between Hubby and Me via email

Me:  I will be going out for appetizers with some ladies from work and will be home late. Also, I might start having some of my Amazon shipments come to work.

Hubby: Are you cheating on me already? Is this part of your *ladies night* ploy? I am suspicious….

Me: Is this fake suspicious or real ?

Hubby: It’s in-between!!!! And how late is late? I don’t want to be waiting up late for you

Me: So, may I go or not go?

Hubby: I am not stopping you from doing anything. Just know that cheating is a mortal sin. And even if you are forgiven, it takes no less than three hundred excruciating years in purgatory to pay the debt.

Things My Husband Says....

My email to my husband: Hubby, someone brought cookies into work. Do you want me to bring one home for you?

Hubby's email: Might as well, I just ate ice cream for lunch!

Me: WHAT?!!

Hubby: Yes.  A) Who can resist soft-serve ice cream and B) I'm dying.

A Pretty New Head Covering...

In India this is called a dupatta, but to most, we would call it a mantilla or veil.
What do you think? Pretty?

Things My Husband Says.....

Scene: I am at work and Hubby has taken the day off to go to the dentist. He had to wake up at 4:30 a.m. to make the appointment. It is now 2:30 in the afternoon and I get a call.

Me: *** department, Hunie speaking.

Hubby: My heart is beating really fast so I wanted to call and say goodbye.

Me: You aren't dying.

Hubby: Are you sure?

Me: Yes.... didn't you go to the dentist this morning?

Hubby: Yes

Me: Didn't they give you some kind of numbing medication?

Hubby: Yes......

Me: Didn't you drink coffee this morning?

Hubby: Yes....

Me: Have you eaten anything?

Hubby: Not yet.

Me: Go eat.

Upgrade of My Cell Phone

Hubby and I own pre-paid phones. I bought them for about $27.00 each and then we pay $100.00 for 180 days and 1500 minutes.  We very rarely use our phones so our minutes just roll over every time so there is plenty of surplus.

Recently, I upgraded my phone to the one pictured above. It is the LG 305C and I paid $40.00 (plus tax and shipping). It is a touch screen and is actually very nice.

It did take  three telephone calls to get my phone set up and transfer the minutes from the old phone but everything was resolved in one day.

The phone can handle local and national calls, texting, and a rudimentary access to the internet.

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish Duo

I picked this up recently. It is a gel nail polish that is supposed to last up to two weeks without any chips. How many days did it last for me? 1 day....
